Media - Editor, Twitter Media - Twitter, Inc. - San Francisco, CA

Job Requirements Editor, Twitter Media

Objective: Twitter's Media team is seeking a tech-savvy writer, editor and marketer to oversee and execute a portfolio of internal and external-facing products that will highlight best practices and training resources that will scale its impact to tens of thousands of media and entertainment partners in the US and abroad. The materials and strategies that you create, execute and maintain -- from a high-profile, interactive website to industry e-newsletters to case studies to self-serve online materials to decks -- will help drive the success and scale of each Media field team in the US and abroad, as well as extend the Media Team's reach and impact to a broader set of partners and high profile users.

Success is measured by:

* Growth of traffic to media.twitter.com, email distribution list growth and open rates, Twitter follower growth of key Media team accounts, and by the increased and pervasive use of our data and best practices in trade publications, mainstream publications and by media influencers.
* Feedback from field teams on the effectiveness of resources and tools created for partners

Responsibilities:

* Write, edit and execute from start to finish data-rich material -- from long-form best practices to case studies to short-form newsy updates to emails -- a fast clip and with great flair. Execute an aggressive editorial calendar driven by major events, sports seasons, breaking news, elections and TV shows.
* Relaunch media.twitter.com by refreshing, overhauling and vastly extending its library of best practices, one sheets and case studies. Turn it into a self-serve resource that answers the majority of needs of Twitter Media's partners
* Grow our industry email lists substantially and deliver information-packed, must-share weekly emails to each of our TV, sports, music, news and political partners
* Create workflows that ensure all materials are extendable and easily replicable in international markets by much smaller teams
* Write and deploy internal training materials and programs that effectively and speedily train high level executives in 10-15 different international media markets

Qualifications

* Minimum 15 years related work experience
* Writing experience at an advanced level in the media business
* Hands on experience in the crafting and backend execution of digital products, including but not limited to websites and e-newsletters
* Knowledge and contacts in industries including televison, sports, news, politics and music
* Experience in and understanding of building, marketing and growing readership of digital products
* Deep and inherent understanding of Twitter and how it is used in multiple verticals (TV, sports, music, etc.)
